Canvas

Thanks to the availability of wide-carriage digital inkjet printers, images as large as life can now be printed in brilliant colour on artist’s canvas. To take advantage of that, I am pleased to offer beautiful canvas imagery, many with ‘painterly’ effects applied to the original photographs.

Canvas inkjet (or giclée) prints are extremely stable and durable. If necessary, cleaning with a damp cloth can be performed without fear of damage.

Ontario orders only: For orders placed through the Gallery above:

• Current canvas image sizes offered are 12”x18”, 16”x24” and 20”x30”. Images in these sizes are printed with a generous white border. This gives the collector many framing options, including gallery wraps or more traditional mounting on stretcher bars with a border. By supplying you with a canvas delivered in a sturdy tube, it’s between you and your framing shop how you want to handle it.
• Each canvas has a matte finish and is hand signed. They are not numbered, so they are not limited editions. Price is thereby kept affordable, leaving more money for framing.
• Canvasses are shipped in sturdy cardboard tubes. Pickup in London, Ontario can be arranged at no charge.

Paper Prints

Ontario orders only: For orders placed through the Gallery above:

The same images available on canvas are also available in either mounted & matted format or as an unmounted print. These are printed on high quality photo rag or museum paper using archival inks. Mounted and matted prints are shipped in sturdy mailing boxes, while unmounted prints are rolled and shipped in tubes. Image sizes are 8x12” and 12x18” (mounted and matted sizes are 13x17” and 18x24”, respectively). More details are provided during the checkout process.

NOTE: Most images on this page are offered in both canvas and fine art paper prints, while a few are available only in paper prints. Sometimes, the sizes offered may also be limited. The decision is based on the suitability of the image to the media or the suitability of its native resolution to the finished size. Available choices for a particular image will be clearly outlined during the checkout process.

Sample Cards

Not sure how an image will look in your space? Concerned that the colours you see on your uncalibrated monitor may be different from the colours on the final print?

Just like swatches from a paint or fabric store, you can order inexpensive 4”x6” samples before committing to a purchase. These are printed on standard matte photo paper stock, so they won’t have the texture, weight or archival life of canvas or photo rag. They will, however, be printed with colour accuracy and density to match the final product. Patches will also be provided to show you one area of detail, at the actual size they will appear on the final print sizes offered.
