Checkout Process (Ontario only)

Our Galleries: By clicking on the Flash slide show on each page, you will be taken to a specific gallery that contains the print you are interested in. We use Photoshelter to host our image galleries and e-commerce function. We’re in good company - famous photographers like Art Wolfe also use Photoshelter to sell their images. Use the arrows on the gallery pages to see all the images in the gallery, or go to the “GALLERIES” link to jump to another gallery. (Note: Only the galleries linked from this web site contain prints for sale)

Printing: While we use Photoshelter to show you what your print will look like, printing is done in London, Ontario using carefully prepared print files. Every order fulfilled by us will be meticulously checked to meet our image quality standards before shipment.

Prices: By clicking on “ADD TO CART” when you’re on the gallery page for the print you want, you will be presented with size or orientation choices, each of which has an associated (pre-tax & shipping) price. Choose the quantity of each you wish to purchase, then either just add it to your cart and continue browsing or add it to your cart and proceed directly to checkout. You are not committed to buy at this point, so continue by supplying address information. Now, you will see the shipping cost options and the total cost of your order (in Canadian Dollars).

Checkout: When you’re satisfied with the order details, payment can be completed easily and safely using PayPal™. If you don’t have a PayPal™ account - no problem. PayPal™ (a division of eBay®) allows anyone to use a major credit card to make online purchases without signing up for an account. If you have an account, you can still use a credit card or pay directly from funds you have in your PayPal™ account.

About Shipping and Handling Costs: We endeavour to pack as efficiently as possible to minimize cost to you. Depending on the product chosen, the number of items that can be shipped for the same S&H cost varies. Our pricing model automatically determines S&H based on quantity ordered. Orders with mixed sizes, however, sometimes don’t allow the best cost to be determined. For this reason, some S&H costs may look excessive for some quantity orders. Rest assured that we reconcile S&H costs for all orders, and if possible, we will attempt to combine products to get the best cost. In these cases, we will automatically refund any excess cost directly to your PayPal™ account or credit card through PayPal™ at time of shipment. Note that matted prints and canvasses are packed differently, so it is not possible to reduce shipping costs by combining them in one package.

Taxes: HST is charged on all Ontario orders.

Return Policy: Each print is checked and packed meticulously before shipping. It is the customer’s responsibility to make a claim with the carrier if the package and the product is delivered damaged. Under most circumstances (ie. dissatisfaction with the aesthetics of the product or damage to product beyond our control), returns and refunds are not permitted. If there are special circumstances where you feel you have a valid reason to return the product, however, we will be glad to discuss the issue with you. Please email sales@filmscapes.ca with a description of your concern. Unless it is determined that we are at fault in terms of product flaws or unacceptable packaging, however, the customer is responsible for return shipping cost. If a replacement has been agreed upon (instead of a refund), we will pay normal shipping costs to send the replacement.
