Living Large with Landscape Photography

FILMScapes is a website dedicated to providing affordable large-format colour & monochrome photographic canvasses & prints (mounted or unmounted), and black & white matted “mini” print groupings.

Based in London, Ontario, Canada, the site presents the work of Gordon Wood. Gordon has shot images in various parts of the world in both film and digital formats. Film formats vary from 35mm through medium format (6x4.5 cm and 6x6 cm) to 4”x5” black and white large format negatives.

All film formats are scanned and perfected in the digital domain, then carefully printed on a large-format digital printer. Images are hand-signed, but not numbered. Numbered images are sold in limited editions, which often drives the price out of the affordability range. Gordon’s approach is to make his images accessible by printing in unlimited run sizes dictated by demand.

Canvasses and unmounted photo paper prints are shipped in sturdy cardboard tubes. Mounted & matted prints are bubble-wrapped and boxed. Shipping costs are kept low, allowing the collector to choose their own methods of framing with a local shop. Pickup in London can be arranged at no charge.

Of special interest are pre-matted black and white “miniatures” for creating group wall arrangements. These are shipped flat in padded envelopes or boxes.
